Roll Over

Move over Cingular, Yuki is rolling over! (oh wait, Cingular was bought by AT&T... Do they still do roll-over?)
This week Yuki became an efficient roller. She can roll from her back to her tummy any time, any where. Experts say it's easier for babies to roll from their tummy to back. Nonsense! This is the way to do it. In fact, she is multi-tasking: taming a big bear for her circus she's planning to open with all her animals. Please pay no attention to her sock-free feet. Have you ever tried to keep socks on chubby baby-feet? Besides, she has too much "California" in her and would much rather be wearing pair of flip-flops.

New York, New York!

All Smiles

Yuki is turning on the charms. Actually she's this happy all the time. Well, most of the time. Honest. Definitely in the mornings... Anyway, she's a very happy baby.

Autumn Colors

I think New England really is one of the most beautiful places in the fall. We flew into Westchester Airport and we could see the Sound, and all the trees around it in yellow and read. Then the drive through the trees home. It was really very pretty.

New Friend

Yuki has a new friend and she is bigger than Yuki. Yuki is learning a new trick each day. Last week she learned how to stick out her thumb to chew on (and not the whole hand), today grandma taught her how to shake her head from side to side.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Yuki is officially bigger than the turkey. Happy thanksgiving to everyone!

Fall Fashion

Yuki is sporting a fall dress and a big smile this evening.

Telepathy

I'm not sure I should be posting this because people make a lot of money telling new parents how to get babies to sleep.  Well, Jiji has a new method: telepathy.  You hold your baby tight and think to yourself "sleep... sleep... sleep...".    You will be sure to fall asleep even with all the commotion going on in the kitchen, pots banging, people talking and laughing, babies giggling...

Visit with Baba and Hershey

I think this is the first non-human mammal she sees up close. Hershey, at 16 years old and with Yuki's arrival, is no longer the baby in the house but doesn't seem to care. She's too busy dodging Yuki's feet from kicking her nose. Yuki was also very happy seeing Baba again :)

Hello?

It may look like she is talking on the phone but really she is just taking it apart. Just think what she will be able to do once she learns about tools.

Reach!

Yuki's world is widening. She now reaches around and is very close to rolling over. Here is a photo and a movie: quite amazing what she can do now!
