First Snowman!!

Believe it or not, this is Yuki's first snowman. During the winter the snow is too dry because the temperature is JUST TOO COLD! It doesn't stick at all and snow-people are just out of the question. Everything had melted once, then it snowed, and warmed up again, and for a window of about 3 hours, we could make a snowman. He was gone by the afternoon!

Hardened Midwesterner

From Drop Box

It appears Yuki is growing up to be a solid Madisonian. It snowed today but "warmed" right up to about 5C. She was ready to go outside and play in her pajamas.

Building a Bookshelf

Ok, I may be biased, but I think she is way ahead of her age on her fine motor skills. She found the hole and is actually turning the screw driver in this photo.

Seeds

We planted some seeds today. Yuki was a great help! We planted basil, nira, kale, etc.

It's getting warm

After a long winter or being cooped up inside, it's finally getting warm outside (at least on some of the days) and she is proud to show her first scrape on her arm she got from sliding down the slide backwards.

Rain forest

At -10C degrees outside, Madison has a little rain forest complete
with water falls, a koi pond and glass walls.

Uni

This is Yuki's playdough project from today. Uni, as you may have had it as sushi, is a sea urchin.
